Known for its rich, dramatic character, Black Walnut features deep brown tones with natural variations ranging from deep purple to warm red hues. Light sapwood accents create striking contrast, ensuring no two boards are ever the same.

Built with end grain construction, these boards are naturally antibacterial, gentle on knives, and self-healing—allowing knife marks to close over time and helping preserve the board’s appearance for years to come. Each board is carefully handcrafted, with every detail shaped, sanded, and finished to perfection.

Proper care will ensure your board lasts for years to come:

- Hand wash only with warm water and mild soap

-Dry immediately with a towel — do not soak

-Never place in the dishwasher

-To avoid warping, let air dry by standing the board on its edge, do not let dry while laying down flat

-Avoid prolonged exposure to heat or direct sunlight

How to Apply Our Board Butter

- We make our very own all-natural board butter - made with 100% Ontario Beeswax and Pure Mineral Oil

-Apply a thin layer of the included board butter regularly or when the board looks dry or feels rough

-Let the butter absorb overnight, then wipe off excess

With routine care, your end grain board will continue to self-heal, resist bacteria, and maintain its rich Black Walnut finish for years to come.

At Santos Woodworks, we strive to provide a seamless and thoughtful shopping experience. Orders ship from Ontario, Canada and are handcrafted to order, typically shipping within 2-4 business days. Engraved items may require additional processing time.

International Orders & Duties:
Customers outside Canada are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees charged by their country. These fees are not included in the item price or shipping cost and must be paid directly to your local customs office.

Returns:

Returns or replacements are accepted only for items that arrive damaged or defective. Natural wood variation, wear from use, or damage after delivery are not eligible for return. Personalized or engraved items are final sale. Damage must be reported within 48 hours of delivery and is subject to review.
